Dr. Andrea Furst
Andrea is the founder of Mental Notes and leads a team of sport psychologists in the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Australia.
Over the past decade in London, she has been part of the management team providing psychological support and expertise to a range of sports teams and individual elite performers, corporate and performing arts clients. In addition, she is currently the psychologist for the professional men's staff at Surrey County Cricket Club.
The similarities between the characteristics of elite athletic performance and business performance have led Andrea to adapt her professional skills to the business world. She finds a way to apply the relevant psychological skills from elite sport to leaders and teams to influence performance in a practical way. The majority of Andrea’s clientele are considered to be ‘high achievers’ in a variety of performance domains and as such perfectionism is a hot topic!
Andrea has extensive practical experience working as a sport psychologist with high-achieving clientele, predominantly elite professional, semi-professional, and amateur athletes, including World Champions and Olympic Gold Medallists. She has been involved in five Olympic and Paralympic Games campaigns (2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 & 2020/2).
Andrea has completed a Master of Sport and Exercise Psychology and a Doctorate in Philosophy (PhD) specialising in Sport Psychology (Optimism Training & Golf Performance).
She is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and is a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Psychologist.
