Vodafone is a FTSE 10 multinational telecommunications company with more than 400 million customers. Headquartered in the UK, it is one of the world’s largest mobile telecoms companies in terms of both subscribers and revenues. Vodafone has its own networks in 21 countries and has partner networks in more than 40 other countries.
The company recently decided to restructure its Group Areas of Expertise in the areas of Talent, Leadership and Performance, Resourcing, Capability, and Diversity and Inclusion.
Vodafone wanted to ensure that all hires were either experts in their fields, or high potentials who would, over time, give the Group significant succession options.
To this end, Vodafone asked Indigogold to help it find a number of outstanding specialists capable of world-class performance to set the tone for strategic hiring across the Group.
What we did
We undertook a detailed global mapping exercise, with a specific focus on India and southern Africa as key markets for Vodafone, across competitor organisations in both the technology and consumer sectors. To support this formal search, we worked across our networks extensively to identify candidates who had the personal qualities and expertise to deliver what the client wanted.
The search produced a number of excellent candidates, and Vodafone ended up hiring six, very high-calibre, senior specialists.
